I recently forayed into the world of bag making, not for profit only for pleasure. My first attempts were clean and functional.
I am attempting to expand my creativeness to include applique, patchwork and quilting, working with a variety of fabrics and embellishments. I have read many books on bagmaking and borrow ideas from different projects I see in magazines, by delving into my array of crafting materials that I have been collecting for many years.
I am pleased to say that I surround myself with some very talented ladies who have remarkable crafty talent, much more talented than myself.
One can turn her hand to anything, from reindeer food to chook puppets, she is a talented sewer and I have seen her crocheting from time to time as well.
My other friend has a successful business making bows, corkers and bracelets, which are a delight to each and every person who receives them, pity my only child is a boy....although he may look cute in a corker or two....
I have my lovely sister in law to thank for my introduction to patchwork quilts, I made one for my son and was hooked, pity it is such an expensive hobby.
Last, but certainly not least, is my very talented husband, who is a very talented photographer http://www.adamsphotography.com.au/ and can turn his hand to anything else as well.
It helps my spirit to be surrounded by such creative people.
